Today marks a major milestone in our companys history. When Courtney Guertin and I started Enrollease Inc. we intended to bring small group enrollment online for agencies across the country. We saw how businesses, down to 2 employees, and insurance agencies were being left behind when it came to affordable benefits administration software.
A few years later, we saw that the needs of SMBs were growing, creating the desire for HR tools to streamline key processes, like onboarding a new employee, or tracking and managing time off requests. We rebranded ourselves as EaseCentral and released several HR and compliance features so insurance brokers could better support the owners and HR teams they serve. EaseCentral was a more comprehensive solution to fit the modern needs of businesses.
I’m proud to say that our solutions have been a hit in the market. We’ve partnered with more than 1,200 agencies, from family-run to nationally known, and the positive feedback we get every day has been overwhelming. Those agencies have rolled out our software to 60,000+ businesses, from 2 to 7,000 employees, greatly improving HR team efficiency and effectiveness.
I’m excited to share that today we are launching Ease. Ease is a natural next step, staying true to our roots – helping insurance agencies better support the country’s SMBs, while making complex HR processes for agencies, businesses, and employees, even easier. Our customers have been calling us Ease for years, and if there’s one thing that’s part of our DNA, it’s that we listen to our customers.
We also raised a $19 million round of funding from new investors Centana Growth Partners, and our existing partners Propel Venture Partners, Compound Ventures, Freestyle Capital, and Upside Partnership. We intend to use the latest funding to continue to improve our solution, better connect the ecosystem, and grow our team of industry experts and business leaders who share our vision for the future of work.
We’ve launched EaseConnect+, a first to market solution for SMB carrier connectivity. Principal Financial, Guardian, and Humana are the first insurance carriers we’ve partnered with, making direct carrier submission for enrollments, and mid-year changes down to 2 employees possible.
We unveiled a beautifully redesigned system, a direct result of customer feedback and 12 months of hard work from our entire team. We collaborated on the interface with MetaLab, a leading technology design firm that has an incredible body of work, to bring a cutting-edge solution to the market:
We made several enhancements to Ease, including a new Android mobile app (iOS is available as well), an even better benefits enrollment experience, and more company information at the fingertips of our users. You can read about them all here.
Finally, I’m excited to announce that, as the first step in growing our team, we’ve been joined by Petar Nedyalkov, Chief Operating Officer, and Toshinari Kureha as our Vice President of Engineering. Both are experienced technology executives who are passionate about modernizing and personalizing the employment experience.
As always, I’d love to hear your feedback on our new name, new look, and new capabilities.
